(colecalciferol soft capsules)

Benferol® contains vitamin D3. This vitamin regulates the absorption and conversion of calcium, including the absorption of calcium into the bone tissue.

Benferol® is used to prevent and treat vitamin D3 deficiencies in adults and youths.

Benferol® may also be prescribed in addition to treatment with specific medication for bone loss.

What is Benferol®?

Benferol® is a soft capsule with cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) that is only available by prescription. Benferol® is prescribed to prevent or treat vitamin D deficiency. Benferol® is available in four dosage strengths:

  • 100,000 IU
  • 50,000 IU
  • 25,000 IU
  • 5,600 IU

NOTE: 400 IU (international units) = 10 micrograms
