Fostimon® is intended to stimulate ovulation in women who do not ovulate and who did not respond to earlier treatment with clomiphene citrate.

Fostimon® is used to stimulate the growth of several follicles (and therefore several egg cells) in women who are receiving fertility treatment.

What is Fostimon®?

Fostimon® is a pregnancy-boosting substance that stimulates the ovaries to ripen egg cells. Fostimon® is a highly purified human follicle-stimulating hormone. It is one of a group of drugs called gonadotropins.

Fostimon® is exclusively available by prescription and can only be prescribed by gynaecologists. Fostimon® is available in boxes of 1 unit. The following dosage strengths are available: 75, 150 and 225 IU. Fostimon® is injected under the skin (subcutaneous).

Who is Fostimon® for?

Women that do not ovulate and did not respond to earlier treatment with clomiphene citrate, as well as women undergoing fertility treatment.

What does Fostimon® do?

Fostimon® stimulates the ovaries to ripen egg cells.
